What is the best time to do a Tanzania safari tours? The Tanzania safari tours that we offer you in Nomada Trek take place in the northern part of Tanzania, where you can travel all year round thanks to the country's tropical climate, but we will tell you when it is more advisable to do so. During the months of the long dry season, June, July and August, most animals migrate from the Serengeti to Kenya and therefore it is more difficult to spot them there. Although, you can visit the Ngorongoro reserve, where you will find the largest stable population of wild animals in all of Tanzania safari tours, an essential and amazing place. When these great migrations are back to Tanzania, between September and October, it is a very good time since we can even enjoy the crossing of the Mara River by many groups of different species. From November and mainly from January to March, being a short dry season, it is highly recommended to go on a safari since after the rains of the previous months green grasses grow and the color contrasts are very spectacular, especially at sunset, the best time of the day to take photographs and capture all colors. Wildlife and unique landscapes of Africa Going on a Tanzania safari tours is one of the most impressive experiences of how many trips can be made in Africa . This organized trip offers you a unique opportunity to contemplate wild fauna in its natural environment, contact with other ancient peoples and cultures while enjoying unique and impressive landscapes. This was our complete itinerary: How much does a safari in Kenya or Tanzania cost? If you want to know how Tanzania safari tours how much a safari in Kenya or Tanzania costs , in this post I will tell you in detail all the costs of our family trip, including both safaris and a few relaxing days in Zanzibar. During our trip we did a 7-day safari in Kenya , another 6-day safari in Tanzania and spent 6 days of rest in Zanzibar . This was our complete itinerary: The price of this safari can vary greatly depending on the accommodation; For the luckier pockets you can consider the lodge type accommodation. For the less privileged pockets, the agency is in charge of carrying all the camping equipment, and it is usually camping within the natural parks. Quite an experience. We have found a middle ground, and for the same price we could choose between camping in all the parks, or sleeping 3 nights in comfortable hotels but without luxuries. Of course, the two nights we spent in the Serengeti of course we camped, we did not want to miss the experience of sleeping in the middle of the African savannah! During both safaris, both in Kenya and Tanzania safari tours, we hardly had any expenses , other than drinks (only water is included in the safaris), tips, or other personal expenses. However, if we want to add a few more days to rest on the coast, we must add some more costs. The main ones would be internal transportation, and accommodation. These have been our expenses in both cases. We finished the last safari in Arusha, Tanzania, so we decided to spend a few days in Zanzibar , but in case of only doing the first safari in Kenya, you can assess the beaches of Mombasa or surroundings. From Nairobi 2 trains a day leave for Mombasa. There are also several night buses. However, to go from Arusha to Zanzibar, you must arrive by plane or by ferry. If you are thinking of doing these routes for free, as we did, you can consult our post: Traveling to Kenya for free, where I explain in detail Tanzania safari tours, how to move from one place to another before and after a safari.
